Events

  • Crafternoon, Wednesday 25 August @ 4pm
University of Manchester Students' Union (map)

Want to try out your artistic talent? Follow the signs down to the murky basements of the Students' Union for some banner painting, screen printing, board making and more! We'll also be sending teams out to publicise the day in a variety of creative ways. Open to all. Wheelchair accessible venue. Stay as long or as little as you like!

  • Reclaim the Scene! parade entry, Saturday 28 August @ 11pm
Outside the Museum of Science and Industry off Deansgate

We'll be marching in the Parade with banners, placards, megaphones and chanting—come along and make pride a protest! We'll have plenty of placards and banners spare if you don't want to or can't make your own.

We march at 1pm but we need to start assembling at 11am.

  • The (Out of the) Village Fete, Saturday 28 August @ 2pm
    map | poster

Our annual post-parade picnic is going to be bigger and better than ever, with free food, performers, live art, stalls, music, and kids' enterainment! Running at the UMIST students' union building (see below), just two minutes walk away from the villlage, we'll head down straight after the parade for a lovely free afternoon of fun for LGBTQ people—and bring your straight friends too!
